Delivery FAQ

If I place my order today, how long will it take to arrive?

We custom build all of our PC's for every order, this can sometimes cause a backlog whilst PC's are being built, tested & quality controlled.
Our current estimated turnaround is 10 Working Days. A working day is defined as Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). For those customers who require there PC ASAP we offer 2-5 working day build time, for more information please click here

I need my PC ASAP, can we speed up my order?

We appreciate that some customers require there PC's ASAP, to keep things fair we process orders as standard on a first come first serve basis.
For those customers that do require the PC ASAP we offer a 2-5 working day build time (i.e. you order your PC on Monday at 16.00, you will receive it between Wednesday and the following Monday).
These optional services are available on all product pages, where applicable. Please note, we always thoroughly stress test & quality control every PC and any part that fails will need to be replaced and re-tested to ensure you receive the best quality PC we can provide, in these rare events an extra day may be required to re-test the PC. How do I know if my order has been despatched?

Once your order has been dispatched we will send you an email confirming this has happened. In this email you will find your unique tracking number which can be used on ParcelForces website. If you would like to know more about the order process and where we keep you updated, please click here.

How long will my item be with the courier?

All PC's are sent our via 24 hour insured courier service. This means once the PC has left our offices you should expect to receive the PC the next working day.

What courier company do you use?

For the majority of PC orders we use Parcel Force. Parcel Force is a trading name of the Royal Mail Group. Since using Parcel Force we have had less returns due to PC's being damaged in transit.

What time will my PC arrive?

Our standard delivery time is any time between 09:00 - 18:00. From speaking with customers we typically find the deliveries are being made in the morning, however, it does all depend where you are on their route. If you are worried no one will be home when the driver comes, please click here.

Can I collect my order from your site?

Of course! PC's can be collected from our offices, if you let us know you wish to collect when you pay for your order we can give you a phone call when your PC is ready. If you wish to use our faster build time service the same fee will apply, however, there will be no delivery charge. To learn more about visiting our office, please click here.

What happens if I miss the courier delivery?

If no body is home when Parcel Force attempt to deliver your PC they will leave a card letting you know they have tried to deliver. On this card there will be a telephone number you can call to discuss a redelivery, or the driver will alert you if he has left it at a local post office, with a neighbour or taken it back their main depot.

Payment FAQ

What payment methods do you accept?

Debit / Credit Card

We accept all major debit and credit card (excluding American Express). Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge a surcharge for either debit or credit card. We have not added a few % to our products to cover these costs either, that's why we are PCs are of so low cost. We don't like having to pay extra when using cards so why should we ask you?

There are two options for paying via cheque

Post a cheque to us

If you pay a cheque into the branch please ensure you write your order number on that back of the cheque as well as your full name and request the cashier also puts your order number and full name as a reference for the transaction.

If you post a cheque to us, please ensure you write your order number and full name on the back of the cheque - you do not need to send any further information.

We will being to process your order as soon as we receive the cheque, however, we can not post the PC out until the cheque has been fully cleared, which takes a minimum of 7 days.

Do you offer Finance options?

At this moment in time we do not offer a finance option. We are working with several companies to find the best solution for this and expect to offer finance later this year, until then full payment must be received before processing your order

Do you charge a credit card fee?

Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge a surcharge for either debit or credit card. We have not added a few % to our products to cover these costs either, that's why we are PCs are of so low cost. We don't like having to pay extra when using cards and neither do our customers

Parts FAQ

What parts are used in your system?

We only use branded parts from companies which have been supplying these components for a number of years. For some components, such as monitors or hard drives, we do not state the make and model as this varies depending on our current stock levels. Our job is to bring you the best possible PC at the lowest price and because the price and stock fluctuate regularly, we can not guarantee a certain brand will be used.

Why are your prices so low?

We love being asked this question and hear it quite often - it means we are doing a good for you.

The reason our prices are so low compared to other computer stores is because of several reasons.

  1. We supply a lot of computer systems in the UK and across the world, because of this we buy in huge quantities from our suppliers enabling us to negotiate on the best possible price.
  2. We don't sit with one supplier, we are constantly on the look out for new bargains, new technology and new innovative products we can pass on to you.
  3. We also adopt a "Just In Time" purchasing philosophy, where we do not have old stock lying around depreciating in value.
  4. We also do not have a retail store which saves a significant amount.

Will the PC be tested or quality controlled?

Yes, every PC undergoes the same rigorous testing procedure and quality control. Once a fully trained engineer has built your PC they will being stress testing every component of the PC.

We use various well known PC tools which are designed to push every part of the PC to its limits. In the event a part has failed the testing procedure we never repair, we always replace. Once the part has been replaced we will being re-testing the PC from start.

Once the software has alerted us the system has passed the testing procedure a different engineer is appointed to Quality Control the PC. Here the engineer will double check the specification meets the customers requirement, any upgrades have been added correctly and there are no compatibility issues and if an operating system has been installed by us, all the drivers have been preinstalled so that when you receive the PC it will be working straight out of the box.

Warranty FAQ

What warranty comes with the PC's as standard & what other options do you offer?

All PC's come with a 1 year Return to Base warranty and we offer many different warranty upgrades to fit every ones budget and requirement.

Will I void my warranty if I open my case and install my own parts?

We have no problem in letting customers open the case to install any upgrade. Providing you have installed the components correctly and not damaged any part of the computer during or as a result of installing the component your warranty will not be affected. We can not provide any support for these components, either during installation or in their use, and any warranty return that has been caused by you attempting to install your own component will be chargeable in labour, return costs and parts. Before returning the PC to us, we recommend removing the newly installed part to see if the issue still remains, this can often save you time and money. Please do not return your own components to us as our engineers can not install, test or replace drivers on components we do not support.
